We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide quality dental care and oral hygiene services to our patients, ensuring their dental health is maintained at the highest level.
One day per week: either Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday (Preferred day)
- Conduct dental cleanings and periodontal scaling with anesthetics
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and proper care techniques
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Administer fluoride treatments and take dental x-rays
- Understanding of general dentistry practices and anatomy knowledge

Title: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and tray setups for dental procedures.
- Greet and prepare patients for treatment.
- Perform capturing proper dental radiographs.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures.
- Conduct work in compliance with office policies and procedures, safety and OSHA guidelines.
- Record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patient.
- Record treatment information in patient records.
- Dispatch lab work appropriately and check in lab cases as they arrive.
- When not assisting with patients, assist hygiene with set up and break down of rooms, bringing patients back and taking necessary radiographs in order to expedite patient flow.
- When not assisting with patients, and no other back office duties are required, assist the front office with contacting and scheduling patients accordingly.

Job description
Exempt Status: Non-Exempt
- Support the patient by providing exceptional interpersonal and technical skills in the delivery of information and care as it relates to receiving treatment.
- Prepare treatment room and execute proper tray setup by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Provide oral health education and instruction to the patients of the practice.
- Follow infection control protocol and prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with office policies and procedures, safety and OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential in accordance with HIPAA.
- Ensure proper operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Record patient medical and dental histories, vital signs and treatment information.
- Expose dental radiographs.
- Assist the dentist during examinations including charting of diagnosed treatment and providing intra-oral photos prior to dentist exam.
- Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining basic life support (CPR) certification, emergency drugs and oxygen supply, and directory of emergency numbers.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Receive and place necessary telephone calls consistent with professional matters, clinical business and patient care as related to the practice, including but not limited to scheduling future appointments and confirming hygiene appointments.
- Contributes to team effort of patient satisfaction and office production goals by working efficiently and providing a high level of patient service.
- Maintain regular, predictable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene.
- Current California RDH license.
- Current basic life support (CPR) certification
- Current X-ray license.
