Give Kids a Smile

The San Joaquin Dental Society Foundation hosts a yearly Give-Kids-a-Smile (GKAS) event in February. GKAS provides pro-bono dental treatment and hygiene services to the underserved and under-insured children in the San Joaquin County area. Treatment is provided regardless of insurance.

At the 2023 Give-Kids-a-Smile Day, the Foundation and volunteer SJDS members were able to provide over $51,000 worth of pro-bono dentistry to 85 kids that were either uninsured or underinsured. Funding for GKAS is mainly raised through the SJDS Foundation Golf Tournament Fundraiser.
